Project Description
The Castle–a six-floor, 107,000 square-foot luxury apartment and mixed-used complex in Port Chester, includes 120 residential units, as well as a parking garage, amenities lobby, courtyard, rooftop amenities and retail space. Among the complex’s lavish extras are an elegant lobby with grand entrance, rooftop terrace with grills and lounge, a clubroom with flat-screen television and billiards, a private movie theater, state-of-the-art 24- hour fitness center, and executive conference rooms and business center with Internet access and workstations. There is even a bike repair shop and personal storage provided. Due to issues with the concrete deck the owner needed to waterproof the parking deck to eliminate leaks. The major issue to overcome was the coating process needed to be done immediately in below freezing temperatures. ENDURIT DECK Pro-V55 FC a fast cure waterproofing system was selected based on its ability to be applied in below freezing temperatures.
Product Application
The ENDURIT DECK Pro-V55 FC polyurea waterproofing was applied to the parking garage areas above occupied space that included the high-end amenities area and grand entrance. Coating operations started on February 18, 2016 and were completed on February 20, 2016.
Results
On Friday night, February 20, 2016 The Castle had a watermain break that sent 1000’s of gallons of water into the parking garage. None of the water leaked into the high end occupied spaces below the garage, including the electrical vault. A true testament to the versatility of the ENDURIT DECK Pro-V55 FC system.
